SKIMO Split Plus air conditioner performance

Tests and technical testing

Before it was marketed, the SKIMO Split Plus went through a variety of tests and trials reproducing the utilisation conditions in order to check its performance.

Test condition

The SNDC testing laboratory reproduces the exterior temperature and sunlight. SKIMO Split Plus has been tested in a 4m³ cabin:

 

The SKIMO air conditioning system only starts up when the interior temperature of the test cabin has been stabilised. Throughout the tests, the cabin is exposed to an average simulated solar energy of 800W/m², measured by a pyranometer. The air conditioning system is supplied with a continuous current of 24V.

Explanation of readings

The readings are taken from a data acquisition centre fitted with calibrated atmospheric PT100 thermocouple type probes, accurate to +/- 0.1°C.

Performances measured

Performances measured SKIMO SPLIT Plus at over +45°

 

At an exterior temperature of +45°C, after 30 minutes testing, we obtained an internal cabin temperature of +26°C and a diffuser outlet temperature of +12.8°C. The total energy consumption was around 50A.

 

Performances measured SKIMO SPLIT Plus at over +55°

 

At an exterior temperature of +55°C, after 30 minutes testing, we obtained an internal cabin temperature of +33.2°C and a diffuser outlet temperature of 19.3°C. The total energy consumption was around 70A.
