SKIMO Split 80V electrical air conditioning system performance

Test conditions

The SNDC testing laboratory reproduces the exterior temperature and sunlight. SKIMO Split 80V has been tested at 2 temperature levels in a 2.5m³ cab :

  • An exterior temperature of 38°C over a period of 60 minutes.
  • An exterior temperature of 43°C over a period of 60 minutes.

The SKIMO Split 80V air conditioning system only starts up when the interior temperature of the test cab has been stabilised. Throughout the tests, the cab is exposed to an average simulated solar energy of 800W/m², measured by a pyranometer. The air conditioning system is supplied by a continuous current of 12V.

Description of the measurements

The measurements are taken from a central data acquisition system equipped with calibrated ambient probes of the PT100 thermocouple type offering a precision of +/- 0.1°C

Performances measured

SKIMO Split 80V at +38°C

 

Following the tests carried out, we found that after 5 minutes for a test laboratory temperature of +38.1°C, we monitored an internal cab temperature of +32°C with a diffuser outlet temperature of +14.1°C.

 

After one hour, the diffuser outlet temperature went down to +6.3°C for an internal cab temperature of +25.4°C and an average laboratory temperature of 38.1°C.

 

The temperature delta between the testing laboratory and the internal cab temperature was 12.7°C.

 

 

SKIMO Split 80V at +43°C

 

Following the tests carried out, we found that after 5 minutes for a test laboratory temperature of +43.2°C, we monitored an internal cab temperature of +35.4°C with a diffuser outlet temperature of +17.5°C.

 

After one hour, the diffuser outlet temperature went down to +9.9°C for an internal cab temperature of +29.8°C and an average laboratory temperature of 43.4°C.

 

The temperature delta between the testing laboratory and the internal cab temperature was 13.6°C.
